I’m so excited for the opportunity to document your special day!

As someone who has been in this industry for years, I have learned a lot! Here are some of my pro-tips for a stress-free wedding, so that you can focus on the important part: celebrating your love.

Choose a vendor team that will make your day awesome and eliminate stress.

Create a timeline, and stick to it (as much as possible).

Creating a timeline is helpful for so many reasons, but its main purpose is to create ease and eliminate stress on your day. The last thing you want is to feel rushed on your wedding day, so when creating a timeline I like to leave a ton of wiggle room to ensure that you can both take your time and be on time. Although we always try to prevent as many things from going wrong as possible, sometimes it’s inevitable and having a plan in place will help keep things on track.

Staying on time is key to having a chill, stress-free day.

TIPS FOR STAYING ON SCHEDULE

Include extra time for travel between locations, such as from getting ready to your ceremony or if from your ceremony to your reception.

Plan to have hair and makeup done at least 30 minutes before your photographer is scheduled to arrive so you are ready to go.

Don’t leave last minute decisions to your wedding day. Practice putting on your dress or tying your tie beforehand to avoid day of surprises.

Cut off all tags from your clothing and steam your dress beforehand so you don’t have to worry about it or delay getting dressed.

Don’t sweat the small stuff. When you work with me, I will help you build a timeline that will not only be your photography guide for the day, but will help map out your entire day so that you can stay on time and stress-free. Of course we want to leave room for all of the unexpected and fun moments that will happen throughout the day, but having a guideline is super helpful!!

Expect me to reach out a month prior to your wedding date to start the timeline process.

Keep a tidy space for where you are getting ready.

With all of the wedding day chaos, it is easy to let things get unorganized. I suggest having one space where you and your wedding party keep your things so important things are easily located and at the end of the day, nothing gets lost or forgotten. This will mitigate overstimulation and anxiety.

It’s also safe to assume that you don’t want your wedding photos to include clutter and clothes all over the floor. We want clean, relaxing vibes!

Bring a back up button-up.

Not many people think of this one, but bring back up button-up shirts if you can.

If your wedding is in the summer or in a warmer climate, having a spare shirt to change into will help keep you looking and feeling fresh, especially if it is a white button up. Bye bye sweat stains!

Keep all of your items out of your pockets and in a secure place.

This one should go without saying, but you’d be surprised.

Not only are you moving around constantly on your wedding day, you are also being constantly photographed! Losing your valuables or having a phone or wallet bulge in your wedding photos is not the move.

At the end of the day it is all about you. By considering all of these things and planning ahead, you will be able to be much more present and focused on what really matters: you and your partner. I hope this guide helps you feel more prepared to have a stress-free wedding day. Your wedding will be one of the most memorable days of your life, and I can’t wait to be a part of it!
